Romantic Fantasy

Romantic fantasy mix elements of fantasy to social interactions. The hero might be alone, but soon finds a lover, a friend, a group. The magic element typically takes the form of innate abilities the hero discovers. The natural talents can be empathy, psychic talents or precognition.
Example: Catch The Lightning by Catherine Asaro  (she is physicist who blends rigorous science with fantasy.)
